Fire 'started deliberately' next to York supermarket
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire next to a supermarket in York, which is believed to have been caused deliberately.
Fire crews from Acomb were called to the Tesco at Askham Bar at about 8.30pm yesterday.
They found a cardboard recycling container in the grounds of the supermarket on fire and put out the flames.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire fire service said: "The fire was believed to have started deliberately."
