A CYCLIST has died a month after he was injured in a crash in York.
John Percy Williams, 80, was cycling in Green Dykes Lane at just after 7pm on October 10 when the crash happened.
North Yorkshire Police said his bike "is believed to have collided with the rear of a BMW 1 Series, which was stationary in traffic", at the lights between Hull Road and Lawrence Street.
Mr Williams, from York, died on Friday.
Mr Williams was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary following the crash, and the road was closed for more than three hours.
A police spokeswoman appealed to anyone who saw the crash, or had any information which could help their investigation to phone 101, press two and ask to speak to TC Mark Mullins.
