A NEW multi-sports club for young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities starts in Easingwold next week.
Hambleton District Council has got nearly £900 from North Yorkshire Sport’s Sportivate Fund to set up the club, and to show people what is available in the area.
An eight week course kicks off on Wednesday, November 15 with coaching in disability sports from Boccia to new age curling, bowling and dodge ball.
Inclusive Sport Officer Joe Mckechnie said: "I want to encourage and support people - whatever their ability - to join in, have fun, keep fit and develop positively in a sporting environment,."
Sessions take place every Wednesday from 6.30 – 7.30pm at Easi Works in Easingwold at a cost of £3 per session. Booking is essential.
For information or to book contact Joe McKechnie on 01609 767261 or joe.mckechnie@hambleton.gov.uk. There are also coaching and volunteering opportunities.
