THE Sensational 60's Experience returns to the Grand Opera House in York tomorrow night with a brand new production for 2017. Taking part will be Mike Pender, the original voice of The Searchers; Chris Farlowe; Herman’s Hermits; The Fortunes and The New Amen Corner.
Pender emerged from Liverpool's Beat Boom with The Searchers to chalk up such hits as Sugar And Spice, Sweets For My Sweet, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, When You Walk In The Room and Needles and Pins. Chris Farlowe, once of Chris Farlowe and The Thunderbirds, is best known for Out Of Time, Handbags And Glad Rags, Let The Heartaches Begin and Reach Out I’ll Be There.
Herman’s Hermits can parade Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, There’s A Kind Of Hush, Henry V111, Something Is Happening and I’m Into Something Good; The Fortunes have You’ve Got Your Troubles, Here It Comes Again, Storm In A Teacup and Freedom Come, Freedom Go to their name. The New Amen Corner will surely play If Paradise Is Half As Nice and Bend Me Shape Me.
