A GROUP of knitters have used their creativity to spread kindness in the community.
Foxy Crafters meet at Foxwood Community Centre and have completed three blankets, which will be given as gifts to local people this Christmas.
Penny Hutchinson, a City of York Council local area co-ordinator for Westfield Ward, said: “I visited Foxy Crafters in the summer and was really impressed to see all their individual creative projects on the go.
“Then the group contacted me to say they had made blankets which they would like to donate to people in need in the community”.
The blankets are unique as they include fox motifs as a link with the Foxy Crafters.
The Crafters meet every Thursday from 10am to noon and would welcome new members who are eager to join their ranks.
