THE first in a series of drop-in sessions about York's council spending plans take place this week.

City of York council is running a budget consultation ahead of making its spending plans for the next year. The council has to save £6.1m in 2018/19 and £4.2m in 2019/20 to meet its budget. The first drop-in session takes place on Wednesday, November 1 at Huntington Library.

Further sessions will be held at Archbishop Holgate’s School on Thursday, November 2; at Acomb Library on Tuesday, November 7 and West Offices on Wednesday, November 8, all from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. More information is available at www.york.gov.uk/consultations, or in the Our City newsletter.
