Bailey Peacock-Farrell 5 – should have done better with Salford’s second and third goals
Josh Law 7 – kept Allen relatively quiet and good deliveries from dead balls
Hamza Bencherif 6 – given few problems in general play and blameless for goals
Dan Parslow 6 – largely swept up well and good timing with tackles and interceptions
Alex Whittle 6 – liberal with his attacking bursts, but defended doggedly
Amari Morgan-Smith 5 – stopped raids down wing, although rarely a threat going the other way
Simon Heslop 6 – scrapped away in midfield and tested Crocombe from distance
Sean Newton 6 – good inswinging corners whilst, unusually, had no shots on goal
David Ferguson 6 – closer to a goal than any of his team-mates in first half before fading a little
James Gray 5 – could not make the most of half-chances that came his way
Jon Parkin 5 – not his day, as typified by free kick that flew out of the ground
Substitutes: Aidan Connolly 7 – livewire (for Morgan-Smith, 59), Louis Almond 7 – purposeful (for Gray, 62), Adriano Moke 6 – enthusiastic (for Ferguson, 67).
Subs not used: Luke Simpson, Theo Wharton.
Star man: Connolly
