Man rescued from flat fire in Eastern Terrace, York
A MAN was taken to hospital after he was rescued from a flat fire.
Firefighters helped the man escape the fire in Eastern Terrace, Heworth, at 6.20 on Friday morning.
The fire is believed to have started on the first floor.
Crews from York and Acomb were sent to the scene and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to tackle the blaze. The man was treated for smoke inhalation.
