WILBERFOSS Mavericks lead the way in the York & District FA Under-19s League division one after winning 9-6 in a goal fest at bottom side York Cubs.
Mavericks now have 13 points from five games, while Cubs are eighth with one point from four.
Cubs were 4-1 up at half-time, but it all changed drastically after the break.
Finn Coughlan, Duke Witter, Louis Cade, Peter Konstantynov, Tom Charlesworth and Jake Ullah netted for Cubs. Isaac Clark (4), Dan Harvey (3), Alex Zachariou and Jack Bielby were on target for Wilberfoss.
Second-placed Dringhouses beat third-placed Rawcliffe 3-2 thanks to goals by Harry Bissett, Jack Stockell and Lucas Hindle. Sam Emmott and Niall Smallwood replied for Rawcliffe.
Harry Clapham’s hat-trick and a Joe Manship strike gave Wigginton Grasshoppers a 4-1 win at Bishopthorpe. Chris Lyndon replied.
Poppleton notched their first win of term, 5-4 at Easingwold Hawks. Ben Singleton (2), Tom McRory, Dylan Anderson and Billy Annett got their goals. Ed Tomlinson (2), Robbie Palmer and an own goal made it close.
Fulford maintained their 100 per cent record in division two with a 3-1 win at Easingwold Harriers thanks to strikes by Jon Paul Vass (2) and Harry Blackwell. Harvey Winterburn responded.
York RI have four wins from five after a 4-0 success at Rufforth. The marksmen were George Simpson (2), Dan Galtrey and Luke Emmerson.
Also on 12 points are Barmby Moor, who won 3-1 at Riccall. Sam Noble, Will Wright and Dan Hudson scored for Moor, Yves Kombes for Riccall.
Elliott Montague netted in Heworth's first win of term, 1-0 at Copmanthorpe.
