A MISSING man who has not been seen for a week may be living rough around Brayton near Selby, police believe.

Richard Taylor, 30, was reported missing from his home in South Milford last Thursday, October 12, and police have been searching for him since.

New sightings have now come in of a man matching Richard's description around Brayton. He was spotted near the canal close to the A19/ A63 roundabout around 4pm on Saturday, and again on the A63 between the A19 and A1041 rpundabouts at around 10pm on Tuesday.

Both times the man was described as looking unwell and dishevelled, and appeared to be wearing the same clothing as Richard when he was last seen - a long white-sleeved top and jeans.

Police think may be living rough in this area, and they are asking people to check their outhouses and sheds and contact police if they think someone may have been sleeping rough.

They also want taxi drivers and other motorists to come forward if they have picked up a man who looks like Richard.

Anyone who has information should not hesitate to contact the police, a spokesman said.
