THE Royal Navy’s new Type 26 frigates are to be called the “City Class” with the first two of a planned eight already named as HMS Glasgow and Belfast.
Other cities are currently vying for the honour of remaining ships to be called after their own city.
Is it now the time that City of York Council and The Press swung behind a campaign for a new HMS York?
