ANOTHER new care home has been given permission in York.
Care company Ashley House were granted planning permission yesterday to build a new 80 bed care home on the old Burnholme Community College site.
Councillors on the planning committee voted unanimously in favour of the plan, saying Ashley House's plans were a "model" of such facilities should be. It will be part of the new health and wellbeing hub planned for the site.
The designers were also praised for the "interesting" scheme for the building including a green roof.
No objections were received, and the developers were given permission on Wednesday evening.
