PEOPLE are being invited to turn their crop of apples into juice at a special event this weekend.

Tadcaster is hosting TadApple Day on Saturday, 10am to 3pm at Manor Farm Centre, St Joseph’s Street.

The free event hopes to bring the community together, with organisers asking people to bring along lots of apples they can turn into juice. Stalls will also offer produce and activities.

Organisers are hoping people will involve friends and neighbours so they can collect their own cooking or desert apples.

Organiser Su Morgan said: "We're really looking forward to Tadcaster's first very own Apple Day and being busy chopping and pressing apples to make yummy juice but generally having a fun day chatting to people."
