WOULD-BE burglars tried to break into a number of garages in York this week.
The criminal damage and attempted burglary happened in the garage yard, just off Clifton Green between 10pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday.
Police said the offenders tried to force their way into privately rented garages, causing damage to the locks and doors.
