HAVE you got your festive party frock yet?
No? Then why not get in the mood with a charity fashion show.
The De Grey Rooms will host a Posh & Party Wear Fashion Show, in conjunction with St Leonard’s Hospice, on Thursday November 9.
On the catwalk will be glamorous clothes which have been donated to the hospice for sale in its shops. Many of them will be gently worn, or new – and will be sold immediately afterwards to boost hospice funds. A similar event last year raised thousands for the charity.
Helen Moreton, for the hospice, said: “We get some amazing clothes, hats, handbags and jewellery, which in some cases are brand new. We also get designer labels and great brands, so there will be some real bargains on offer.”
Tickets for the event are £5 and can be bought from the hospice website (stleonardshospice.org.uk), all St Leonard’s Hospice shops, from the reception at the hospice in Tadcaster Road (office hours only) or by telephoning the retail office on 01904 788777. Doors will open at 6.30pm with the fashion show to start at 7.30pm, and there will be a licensed bar and a raffle.
