A MAN was rescued from the river Ouse in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from York and Acomb were sent to the riverside by Marygate, along with the fire service's rescue boat, at 2am.
A man had been in the river, and was suffering the effects of hypothermia. Firefighters helped give him first aid.
The volunteers of York Rescue Boat were also called out, but found the man was out of the river and in the care of police officers when they arrived.
