WORK by the UK’s most performed playwrights will be presented at a literature festival in the East Riding.
Work by John Godber will tour libraries in the East Riding at the end of this month, as part of the Out of this Word programme.
Godber has worked alongside a trio of emerging playwrights from The Writing Squad to re-imagine East Riding histories. The piece is entitled HERE and NOW and will see trainee librarians battling with books, boilers and bad parking.
Festival director Dorcas Taylor said: “Unbelievable, unimaginable and untold, East Riding’s remarkable history is alive and well and in a library near you!”
The work will be performed at Market Weighton library on Monday, October 30 at 2pm. For other dates or to book tickets visit www.litup.org.uk/john-godber.
