A DRIVER stopped by police on the A64 allegedly had an expired licence and no insurance.
The man, who was behind the wheel of a silver BMW, was pulled over by police near Tadcaster for having a defective brake light at 5.40pm yesterday.
Traffic constable Mark Patterson, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, wrote on Twitter that the car had no tax or MOT as well as the man having an expired licence and no insurance.
The car was seized and the the man issued a traffic offence report for three offences.
