A TEAM of 28 volunteers representing Ware & Kay Solicitors has raised over £2,245 so far for the Charlie Mortimer Fund by climbing Yorkshire’s Three Peaks.

The team was made up of staff from offices in Peasholme Green, York, Wetherby and Malton, family members and friends aged between 13 and 70.

The Charlie Mortimer Fund was founded following the unexpected death of Charlie, a young boy from Malton,in 2009.

Charlie had undiagnosed MCADD, a rare genetic condition and the charity provides help and support to families.

His mum Davina Mortimer said: “This was a tough challenge and it’s amazing that so many people have put themselves forward for it – we are incredibly grateful for all the support Ware & Kay have provided for our charity".

Peter Kay, senior director of Ware & Kay said: ‘The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a one-day challenge of epic proportions: three mountains and over 25 miles in under 12 hours! I am delighted by the enthusiasm generated by the Ware & Kay team, their families and friends and we are all very proud to support this deserving Charity. Overall, it was a challenging day for a very worthy cause.”
