A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after a collision with a Range Rover on a busy road in York, which caused rush hour delays for motorists this morning.

North Yorkshire Police said a man on a bicycle and a blue Range Rover collided at about 8.40am on the westbound side of Hull Road, near the junction with Osbaldwick Link Road.

It affected traffic heading towards York.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to York Hospital for treatment.
