YORK City’s FA Cup third qualifying round clash at South Shields on Saturday has been designated an all-ticket contest.

A total of 480 standing tickets have been made available for segregated away supporters and will go on sale tomorrow at Bootham Crescent to season-ticket holders from 10am until 4.30pm. They cost £8 for adults, £6 for over-65s and students and £2 for under-16s, while disabled fans should call 0191 454 7800 to make arrangements.

Each season-ticket holder will be entitled to buy a maximum of four tickets and, if there are any remaining from the Minstermen’s allocation, they will go on sale on Wednesday morning from 9.30am.

Telephone sales or postage orders cannot be accepted for the game, however, due to the short sales’ period.

Saturday’s Mariners Park clash will kick off at 3pm, with Evo-Stik North league leaders Shields warming up for the match by beating Clitheroe 4-1 – their 11th triumph in 12 matches this term.

Gavin Cogdon (2), Craig Baxter and Carl Finningan were all on the scoresheet for last season’s FA Vase winners, although former Sunderland and Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca played no part due to a knock he received in the previous weekend’s 3-0 Cup victory at Darlington.
