SIMON Dyson had an improved second round in the Portugal Masters, but inconsistency has once again been his downfall.
The two over par he carded on the first day was cancelled out by his more recent two under, but this was not enough to secure him passage to the third round.
He hit birdies on the fifth, ninth and 15th holes, but still missed the cut by two shots.
