FIVE people have been charged with offences at the Kirby Misperton fracking site yesterday.
Police have confirmed that 18-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting two police officers in the execution of their duty at Kirby Misperton.
A 26-year-old woman has been charged with obstructing a police officer; and three people - a 33-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman have all been charged with obstructing the highway.
All five will appear at York Magistrates Court next month.
In total 12 arrests were made at Kirby Misperton through the week. One resulted in no further action and two resulted in a caution.
Of the remaining nine, seven were charged with obstructing a highway, one with obstructing a police officer, and one with two charges of assaulting a police officer.
