CONCERT organisers are looking for a young singer to perform Walking In The Air from The Snowman at York Minster.
Carrot Productions will screen The Snowman in the Minster on December 16, and are looking for a young soloist to perform alongside a live, 26-piece orchestra.
The performer is guaranteed a packed audience, as the performances there are already almost sold out, and auditions are open to young people between seven and 17.
Rachel Whibley, managing director of Carrot Productions, said: “Our involvement with the local community is very important to us and we are delighted to create these opportunities for young singers across the country.”
Auditions will be held on Thursday, October 5, between 4.30pm and 7pm at York Minster Learning Centre, St Williams Centre, and the young musicians will be required to sing Walking in the Air.
