A MAIN road in North Yorkshire had to be closed temporarily after a lorry crashed and spilled a large amount of diesel.
The collision happened on the A59 at Kex Gill, between Harrogate and Skipton, yesterday evening.
Police and fire crews were called to the scene at about 6.10pm.
Following the collision, sergeant Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police, wrote on Twitter: "Fortunately no injuries but large diesel spill will take time to clean up so please avoid."
The road was closed but reopened at 9.40pm.
