YORK'S historic Barley Hall is giving people a chance to step back in time with a unique dining experience.
Guests will be able to take a seat in the Great Hall and discover how past occupants would have dined during the Middle Ages.
They can delight in the atmosphere of the medieval hall whilst being served their food by servants in traditional medieval dress.
Sarah Maltby, director of attractions for York Archaeological Trust, said: "Taking inspiration from medieval life in York, the feast will give a glimpse of how the higher echelons of society dined during the middle ages."
The event itself is part of York’s Food and Drink Festival, celebrating the range of food and drink that York has to offer.
Medieval Feast at Barley Hall is taking place on September 29. Tickets are priced at £60.50 per person and are available from www.barleyhall.co.uk/events. For more information visit www.barleyhall.co.uk/events or phone 01904 615505.
Pre-booking is essential as no tickets will be available on the night.
