STAFF at York’s Grand Opera House have been putting their detective skills to the test in the run up to Ruth Rendell’s murder mystery ‘A Judgement in Stone’ arriving at the theatre next month.

Ben Papworth will be getting into detective mode as David Rennie plays dead at The Mount Royal Hotel in York.

A Judgement in Stone tells the story of Eunice who struggles to fit in.

The reason for her awkwardness, long hidden and deeply buried, leads to a terrible tale of murder in cold blood, on Valentine’s Day.

It stars Chris Ellison, best known as Frank Burnside in The Bill, Sophie Ward from Young Sherlock Holmes and Drop The Dead Donkey’s Robert Duncan.

A Judgement in Stone is on at the Grand Opera House from October 16 to 21.

Tickets are priced from £15.40 and available from the box office on 0844 871 3024 or online at www.atgtickets.com/york.
