THE water levels of the River Ouse have risen following the recent heavy rain.
A flood alert was issued for the Upper River Ouse, but was removed at about 10.50am today.
The Ouse in York peaked at approximately two metres this morning, which is lower than the previous forecast of between 2.5 and 2.75 metres.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said today that the Ouse "will begin falling back towards normal levels later this morning following Tuesday night's rain."
A flood alert remains in place for the North Sea Coast at Bridlington.
