Residents warned over bogus workers
BOGUS tradespeople have been reported to North Yorkshire Police.
A spokesman said the fraudsters reportedly attend homes "trying to make appointments to attend homes to survey the effects of acid rain and to take a water sample".
The spokesman urged residents to ask to see ID, and shut the door and phone police on 999 if you become suspicious or afraid.
