A MAN suffered serious head injuries in an assault at a pub in North Yorkshire.
Police said there was an altercation between two men at the Windmill Inn, in Stainsacre Lane, Whitby at around 8pm, last Friday.
A 51-year-old man sustained serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
A 48-year-old man from Whitby has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on conditional bail.
