NORTH Yorkshire County Council has revised the timetable for its temporary 426 Selby-Cawood-York bus route following concerns over timings.
The council stepped in with its own vehicles to provide the reduced-level service from September 11 after the sudden closure of bus operator Utopia Coaches.
The timetable at www.northyorks.gov.uk/transportnews has been revised to allow two hours in York or Selby before the return journey.
County Councillor Don Mackenzie, the Executive Member for Passenger Transport, said: “We stepped in to provide this service following the withdrawal from these services by Utopia. We have listened to feedback from passengers and as a result have revised the timetable to allow them more time to go about their business at their destination.”
The County Council is investigating a longer-term solution to the service and will issue a tender in the near future to seek prices on options prior to confirming what action can be taken.
