NEW weekly budgeting and information cafes are launching for people in Clifton.

Citizens Advice York began new information and budgeting cafes at Tang Hall Community Centre and at Sanderson Court, Bramham Road in Chapelfield.

Now similar events are to start at the community cafe in St Luke's Church Hall, Burton Stone Lane, on Friday, September 8 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Cllr Danny Myers said said the help on offer could be a great benefit to people in Clifton.

"I would encourage residents to drop by St Lukes Church Hall on Friday mornings and see if Citizens Advice can help with any number of issues, from childcare availability to lowering household bills."

The sessions have access to computers, free wifi and support with things like budgeting and finding the best deals on insurance and utilities.

The other sessions are at Tang Hall Community Centre are on Wednesdays 12.30-3.30pm; and Sanderson Court Community House Thursdays 9am - 12pm.
