NORTH Yorkshire Police have called for witnesses to a crash three days after it happened at Sherburn-in-Elmet.
The accident on Coldhill Lane at 9.14pm on Wednesday evening left a motorcyclist in a serious condition in hospital.
A police spokesman said: "It is believed the 49-year-old man, from the Leeds area, had been to Squires Café and was heading away from Sherburn in Elmet towards Lotherton Hall when he came off the yellow and red Yamaha motorcycle."
The road was closed for more than an hour while paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service treated the motorcyclist before taking him to Leeds General Infirmary.
