I AM writing to empathise with Rita Crombleholme from Badger Hill (Letters, August 21).

I have lived in Main Street, Heslington, for the last 10 years.

Not many folk know there are two Main Streets and the sat navs take visitors to Walnut Close.

We signed a petition to get a name change.

There are only 60 of us poor lost souls and that is not enough for a name change.

We have had pizzas delivered in the dark and opened the door to men who don’t listen to us.
