The new £1 coin..
PARKING meters in North Yorkshire now all accept new £1 coins.
The last meters to be converted, on Northallerton High Street, have now been switched over, meaning all 183 of North Yorkshire County Council’s on-street payment machines are now compatible with the new coin. There are also plans to introduce card payment facilities to the Northallerton machines, and that work is scheduled for October.
