THE front page headline and full page article inside tells of the struggle to find staff for York’s restaurants, bars and hospitality sector (The Press, August 19).

In the same paper, another article told of a new Ivy Collection restaurant opening this November that will soon be recruiting for more than 100 jobs locally.

This is good news for the falling number of unemployed who fancy this type of work, but the ever-increasing number of new eating establishments is exhausting worker supply.

For me, eating out is never as good as home cooking.
