DR Scott Marmion claims “the King is dead”, meaning Brexit is irreversible. Poor analogy.
The King isn’t dead. He’s very ill, and nobody knows whether he’ll recover.
Nobody knows whether there will be a second referendum. If there is one, nobody knows whether the will of the people will turn against Brexit.
If it really is the will of the people to leave the EU, a second referendum would confirm it.
Then the King really would be dead, the Brexiteers happy, the Remoaners silenced, and the whole matter fully and finally settled.
What have the Brexiteers to fear? The will of the people?
