WHY when we are nearing the end of our lives do we have to feel we are at the end of our tethers?
Why do we have to put up with insurance premiums increasing beyond reason year on year and spend hours and days trying to find a better quote?
My wife suffered two days of misery when she found her little Jazz car had gone up from £250 to £353 in the year.
We could not find her anything cheaper anywhere. She drove just 55 miles last year at the age of 83.
One company told us on the phone to go online for a quote and then at the end of the rigmarole said to get back on the phone where there would be a 30 minute wait.
Surely this carry on is encouraging more people to go uninsured.
