MALTON School’s female footballers have had one of their most successful seasons ever.
The U14 girls’ football team made it through to the quarter final of the English Schools’ FA National Cup. After victories against other schools, the girls played away to Rossett School in Harrogate in the quarter final match where they were narrowly beaten 2-1.
Coach Jay Rowley said: “The girls have had a fantastic season. It was a great achievement to be one of the last eight teams nationally from an opening round of over 250 schools.”
The Malton School U14 team includes Katie Robinson, Kristen Brady, Emily Carroll, Annabel Williams, Florence Pegrum, Maddie Blundell, Rosie Smith, Isabel Matique, Mystee Kairns, Lily Palmer, Jess Scholefield, Millie Crick, Alice Jeffrey and Katie Williamson.
