FIRE and rescue crews from York helped a wheelchair user in the city yesterday, when a tyre problem left them stranded.
A crew from Acomb went to Long Ridge Lane, Upper Poppleton, just before 2pm yesterday, and helped replace a tyre which had come off and left the person immobile.
Earlier in the day an Acomb crew, along with one from Huntington, went to Glen Close where a cigarette caused a fire in a flower pot on a balcony.
