A 'DEVASTATED' cycling fanatic has offered a £1,000 reward for the return of three unique bikes which were stolen from his York garden shed.

Richard Hutchinson, 44, of North Moor Road, Huntington, said he was ‘totally devastated’ after thieves broke the hinges of the shed door last Wednesday night to take “three very expensive, very, very unique bikes.’

He said: “One was a custom built Pro Lite race bike - the only one of its kind.

“Another was a very distinct Orbea disc road bike with a rare matching black/blue chain and the third was a Kinesis mountain bike."

Richard, who is a member of the VC York cycling club, warned that the mountain bike was in an unsafe condition and could cause serious injury if ridden.

“These bikes are really very rare and very very expensive," he said.

"I am totally devastated at their loss. I would happily give a very generous reward for their return, as I cannot replace them."

He said he was prepared to offer a £1,000 reward for information leading to their return, and asked anyone able to assist to call or text him on 07834381732.
