A DRIVER has been banned from the roads for two years and four months after he admitted driving while on drugs.
Ian James Newsome, 49, of Dean Road, Scarborough, pleaded guilty at the town's magistrate's court after a member of the public accused him of nearly reversing a silver Renault Clio over her twice in the town’s Huntriss Row.
A routine drug wipe test was carried out by police, which returned a positive result for cocaine.
As well as being banned, Newsome was also ordered to pay more than £700 in fines and costs, and carry out unpaid work.
