FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in the roof of a house in York.
Crews were called shortly after 3am today to the fire in Markham Street, off Haxby Road.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
"A duvet or bedding had fallen on an uplighter," a spokeswoman for the fire service said.
She added: "The fire was contained to the roof.
"No-one was injured."
Crews used one hose reel to put out the flames.
