NAVIGATION Road could soon be getting new outdoor gym equipment, and people in the area are being urged to have their say.
Councillors in the Guildhall ward, which includes Navigation Road, want residents to take part in a consultation which asks what they want, and where.
Cllr James Flinders said: "We’re keen to get on and get the gym equipment installed as soon as possible so we really want to hear what residents think. There are three options on the location, or the equipment could be spread across all three sites. We also want to know if residents want a "station" type gym or the "trail" type, which includes equipment like parallel bars and a ladder walk."
The idea behind the proposal is to make sure anyone in the area can use equipment for free, close to home, helping them to keep fit and active. It is being funded by Guildhall ward.
The consultation closes on Tuesday, September 12. Comments can be emailed to jack.woodhams@york.gov.uk or posted to FREE POST RTEG- TYYU-KLTZ,
