A Nordic Walking class in York
A NORDIC walking course is starting in York later this month.
Sessions will take place on Fridays 10am to 11am for four weeks, starting on Friday, August 25, and meeting at Rowntree Park Reading Café. The course costs £25 and booking is essential. At the end participants will get a Nordic Walking UK Freedom Card, which will let them go to Nordic Walking groups anywhere in the UK, including several around York.
The council's Cllr Nigel Ayre said Nordic walking has great health benefits, and the course is great opportunity to socialise, unwind and get fit while enjoying York.
