SCOUTS are planning more adventures in the great outside after they took delivery of new camping equipment.
Dringhouses (PC) Scout Group were able to buy the tents, event shelters and catering shelter with the help of a grant from the Dringhouses and Woodthorpe Ward Committee of City of York Council.
Phil Bennett, group scout leader said: “The support from through the ward grant scheme means that we can take even more young people on even more adventures”.
The group has more than 240 children aged from six to 18-year-olds.
Dringhouses and Woodthorpe councillor Stephen Fenton said: “One of our ward priorities is to increase community involvement.
“So it is great that we are able to help the volunteers who give their time help run Scout groups and other community activities.”
