VISITORS to the historic Barley Hall in York this summer will be greeted with the sweet smell of lavender.
The medieval townhouse, off Stonegate, is celebrating this fragrant flower with a series of special floral decorations across the hall.
The soothing scent will be found in every room of the 14th century townhouse, with floral pieces adoring the Great Hall, the parlour and even the servant quarters of Barley Hall.
All the installations have been devised and put in place by the team at Barley Hall.
