A MAN and a woman who were seriously injured when their car left a village lane near York and crashed into a telegraph pole are now in a "stable" condition, police have confirmed.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, and a 28-year-old female passenger, both from the York area, were taken to hospital after the Renault Clio they were travelling in hit a telegraph pole and a tree on Ox Carr Lane, Strensall, at 2am on Tuesday.
Police said they were in a serious condition, but now their condition is described as stable.
