A CHARITY evening is being held in memory of a North Yorkshire woman who lost her battle with brain cancer.

The event, on August 5, is being organised by Melissa and Rebecca Foulis in tribute to their sister Alexandra, from Knaresborough, who died in 2011, aged 24.

August 2 would have been Alexandra’s 30th birthday.

To mark this, Melissa and Rebecca are holding the charity evening in an effort to raise awareness of brain cancer and funds to help ongoing research. Taking place at The Viper Rooms in Harrogate from 7pm, it will feature a raffle, with prizes up for grabs, and an auction. All proceeds will go to Brain Tumour Research. Tickets cost £15, which includes a drink on arrival, hog roast and banquet and club entry to Viper Rooms. Email Rebecca on ella_rebecca@hotmail.com for further details.
