A NORTH Yorkshire hotel has reported a major upturn in bookings after opening a new spa.

Rudding Park has recruited new staff to deal with the growth, which has seen reservation enquiries soar by 60 per cent since the spa launched in May.

A restructure has seen Rebecca Roberts appointed manager of business development, and Valerie Cook promoted to revenue manager, while event sales manager Lyndsey Gibbs and reservations manager Alice Wood now oversee a team that has grown from 12 to 16.

Head of Sales and Revenue Karen Tyson-Smith said: "The team are thrilled by the boom in enquiries and excitement the new spa has generated.

"Rudding Park was already an incredible product to sell, but the addition of the spa has shifted the team’s enthusiasm and motivation up another gear."

The new jobs add to the 50 created when Rudding Park's spa launched.
